Thursday's in the Mini-Woods - Seeking Games

Today with the K-2's we discovered a mini forest and played seeking games. We decided what kind of animals we had (tennis balls) and hid them in the forest for our friends to find. Then we went on a safari with brand new cameras from the Pine-Camera-Store and took pictures of all the hidden wild animals. After that we went on a team treasure hunt to find lots of hidden treasures in the forest. We wrapped up playing Sardines - a hide and seek game. If you find the person hiding you hide with them until everyone is hidden there too! See pictures below. Colby was our master hider this afternoon! All in all a great afternoon - even with the mini hail storm :)

A Wet Day in the Woods! Grade K-4

It was a bit of a wet afternoon but we braved the wet and played games in a forest near the school! It was a pirate-gold-rush sort of afternoon. In the morning we did some elbow tag, toilet tag and pirate games. We are preparing to head out to Sandy Beach this Friday - check backpacks tonight for the note home.

A Sunny, Crazy Hair Day Before the Long Weekend! Gr K-4

The morning started off with the K's and 1's. We had less people than expected so we spent some time on the park warming up our bodies and then played some Loose Caboose and no goalie soccer. We had so much fun. We talked about things we could work on as individuals and as a group for next class - and the things we are doing great! The kids were really insightful.

Later in the afternoon the 2-4's went to the BIG park and played a game of Wild Coyotes and Rabbits. Lots of rabbits ended up in Bunny Heaven where they had to do silly things at their teachers whim. It was fun.

Have a great long weekend everyone - enjoy the sunshine and the time off to hang out with your family! See you next week for some more fun in the sun!

Glenmore Reservoir Trip Friday the 11th Gr. 2-6

It was a perfect day for biking - the children did wonderful and the scenery was beautiful! With just a few minor wipe outs we did all right! My group did the whole reservoir which was great - total bike time about 2 hours and 15 minutes, total trip time was quite a bit more than that. The students with smaller bikes did about the same time in hours - just a shorter distance. I was so pleased with everyones efforts. Huge thanks to Nicole and Steve for coming with us - you both were so much fun. We couldn't have done it without you! And thank you Steve for the slurpees after!
